Road user congestion charging: A good approach to tackle net zero emission objectives by reducing congestion

Globally, cities are increasing in size and the population is concentrated in urban area. Time for commuting, congestion, air pollution and noise are increasing in our cities.
Congestion pricing or congestion charges is a system that allows to control demand. It is of highly sensitive politically concern but it has started to be deployed with positive results in many countries. The session will look at the successful projects, will try to bring into perpective what are the key elements required to reach adhesion of the public and what are the technical solutions to deploy it in the most sustainable way.
