The Croatian Association of Toll Motorways Concessionaires (HUKA) is a civil, non-party, no-profit, transport-sector organization.
It was founded to protect and promote the interests of its members, namely the companies that operate motorways in the Republic of Croatia based on concession granted to them either for construction, operation and maintenance of motorways, or for operation and maintenance of motorways only.

HUKA strives to improve cooperation among its members through exchange of experience and information, and through discussion of issues individual members are confronted with, which can easier be solved through joint action.

The association cooperates with domestic and international bodies and organizations dealing with issues that are of significance to concession motorways. HUKA members currently operate the semi-motorway and motorway network of total length of 1.250,7 km.

EGNOS and Galileo for next generation Road Charging

Nation-wide schemes based on Satellite Navigation are now operational in Germany and Slovakia and under implementation in France, offering innovative flexibility for large and free-flow tolling domains.

When applied to specific vehicle type in large road networks, or when tolling systems are extended to different road classes, the cost-benefit advantages of satellite navigation road charging are clear.
GPS-based systems can be enhanced by EGNOS, a free European service increasing the accuracy and providing integrity information on GPS signals.
Galileo, the European worldwide constellation, is now under deployment, with four operational satellites already in the sky.
Galileo provides, for free and in full compatibility with GPS, increased availability in difficult environments, better accuracy and reliability.
